Report from Eldey: The afternoon tour was even better. The weather was still supurb with clear skies. calm seas and no wind. It took us about one hour to find a small pod of white beaked-dolphins of roughly 3-4 individuals and once closer we saw more and more fins popping out of the surface. We must have seen at least 30 dolphins all in all very scattered over a large area. We just sailed slowly and had the dolphins surfacing near and far, they seemed to be feeding and socilising amoungst many guillemots and razorbills. We left them in peace after about 30- 40 minutes and soon found a minke whale. A very curious individual that actually interacted with us and circled our boat, rolling to be able to look up at the many excited passengers. The minke decided to start feeding and it´s dives became alot longer. We ended the tour wonderfully with the setting sun. Just an amazing tour!

Report from Eldey: Perfect morning in Faxafloi ! Sea surface like a mirror, no wind and beautiful sunrise painting the sky with orange and pink hues. Ideal conditions for spotting, very easy to see anything popping up at the flat sea surface. After about an hour of sailing we spotted black silhuettes in the distance. As we got closer, we saw 3-4 white-beaked dolphins. They were swimming very slowly and calmly. It was very easy to keep up with them, even to predict where they would pop up next by the swirls forming at the sea surface a little before they came up. After a while, we spotted more dorsal fins pop up in the distance: 4-5 white-beaked dolphins more ! On our way back, we got to enjoy the scenery of Reykjanes peninsula and a lot of sea birds, cormorants and guillemots, diving close to us and even a few glimpses of harbour porpoises.
