Status 9:00 an 13:00 Tour: RUNNING
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: This time we tried a different area of the bay as this morning was unsuccessful. The afternoon´s sea looked less productive than the mornings, still with plenty of seabirds but not really the ones that are usually around whales when feeding. Saw plenty of European shags, eider ducks, cormorants and fulmars but they were just resting on the sea´s surface. We had a couple of splashes from some 2 or 3 elusive harbour porpoises that many the passengers got a glimpse of. Lets hope tomorrow will bring more whales and more life to the bay. Never know what will happen and that´s the joys of wildlife. Passengers received complimentary tickets to come again in tech next two years.

Report from Eldey: Whoo Hoo! Finally out on the water again after four days of cancellations. The crew and passengers were super excited. The sea conditions were good and temperatures not too cold, well actually we are warmer than Britain at the moment. We sailed out snugged up in our overalls and warm drinks and searched the sea for any signs of life. We saw a nice selection of seabirds, all listed below and 6-10 harbour porpoises in 2-3 different pods and that was our luck. Looking forward to our minke whales returning and hopefully the north will send us some humpbacks down. Until then we hope to be getting out on the ocean more and see what nature can provide us. Passengers received complimentary tickets to come again for free (either here in Reykjavik or Akureyri) in the next two years.
