Tour at 13:00: RUNNING

Report from Eldey: The weather had much improved to yesterday and even today morning. We sailed out towards south to be more sheltered from the wind along the coast. After around 30 minutes we spotted our first 2 harbour porpoises. Unfortunately they were quite elusive, just showed twice their dorsal fins and disappeared again. We kept on going and spotted shortly after a flock of seabirds feeding. At a closer look we saw a big pod, maybe 8-12 individuals of harbour porpoises feeding. To our surprise they kept on staying around our boat for quite some time, some leaping out of the water seeming not to care to much of our presence. We kept on sailing but just spotted one more couple, a mother with her calf, on our way back, so we decided to give complimentary tickets in the hope we will be luckier next time.

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. Due to the winds for the past days the sea is going to be quite rough today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board.
