CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Hafsulan: this morning we sailed into the bay with sun shinning and wind blowing strong. We searched through the bay, trying to keep a steady course on the strong swell and wind. We visited a few hot spots we know in the area with no luck, he kept sailing out hoping to find some animals there but unfortunately we did not spot any. On our return we offered all passengers a complementary ticket so they can all try their luck again on next whale watching trip. However, as we were entering the harbour we spotted a minke whale! The animal was feeding close to the harbour, coming up multiple times and even lunge feeding, very unique behaviour to see in a minke whale

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: Our journey started with a sunny afternoon and amazing blue skies, despite the wind we decided to sail out to try to find our favourite species. Just 10 minutes after leaving the harbour we were very lucky to find a minke whale!! This minke was feeding in the area, and lots of birds were trying their luck as well! We had Northern gannets and Northern fulmars diving full speed to the ocean to try to find some snacks! And in the middle we had of course the minke whale changing direction rapidly not afraid to get close to our boat! We spent about half an hour with this whale which occasionally would show some curiosity and would come closer so we could have a better look! Then we decided to continue our journey and sailed further away, we were very lucky to spot some Atlantic puffins close to the islands! On our way back to shore we still got one last glance at that minke whale that was still feeding in the same area as we said one last goodbye!
