CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: This morning we sailed out into a gloomy and rainy bay. There was little swell in Videyjarflak and we quickly saw two minke whales! We stayed with these two for some time but decided to head further out into Faxafloi as well. We unfortunately did not see any more whales further in the bay so decided to hand out complimentary tickets. Even though we did see minke whales, the encounter was quite short lived and we wanted everyone to have the chance to come and try their luck again!

Report from Eldey: This afternoon we were met with a little more rain but that doesn't stop us! We got ready in our cosy overalls, hot chocolates in hand and set on our adventure! Once again we found one minke whale extremely close to the harbour. This time around the minke was much friendlier and came up quite often and close to the boat! We then sailed on and found another minke! It looked like both were feeding in the same area, one was definitely a little bigger and one was a little smaller. This was quite a nice sighting and we managed to see both minkes a few times. The rain eventually calmed down as well, and we did a little sail further out just to make sure we didn't miss anything. We didn't see anything further out so returned to see the minkes few more times before heading home! This time we got to see the minke with the backdrop of Reykjavik a few times, what a wonderful end!
