Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: WHAT A AFTERNOON!! The winter light was incredible and shone a warm light over Viðey the humpback whale tha we spent a lovely time with. We saw a mixture of behaviours from viðey breaching out the water to exfoliating on the rocks. Obviously a humpback whale that loves a good scratch. This humpback whale has been hanging around the islands close to Reykjavik now since 18th November, some day so hidden we were unable to find it. Traveling, feeding and scratching in extremely shallow waters, 2-5 meters sometimes. It´s always facinating to watch these animals that we have seen thousands of times and still be amazed by them. Just incredible. Whilst we watched the humpback we also got a quick cheeky curious harbour seal wondering we were doing and popping his head up from time to time. A wonderful tour.
