CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: Today once again we had a lot of luck with the weather and whales! This time of year we are blessed with essentially golden hour all day (even though its only a few hours). So we set sail sunrise, found a humpback very close to harbour again, then 2 more (!) then another blow (!!), making it four humpback whales in one spot! One of the humpbacks we only saw once but the other three we managed to have a good look at. Two were travelling together, coming up in unison and showing the fluke! In this duo was Banana again. The other solitary humpback was a bit more erratic with its movements, sometimes close and sometimes a bit further. We also went for a little sail to give the animals some space and admired the landscape while we did. We spotted 4-5 grey seals as well and then sailed back with the sunset. We stopped again before returning to harbour and watched the three humpbacks taking turns coming up in sun!
