Today's Classic Whale Watching Tours from Reykjavík are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out with calm seas, soft wind and cloudy  skies. This morning's tour took us deep into Hvalfjördur once more, where we ran into a small pod of 3 harbour porpoises. They very casually swam by us so we got some very good looks at these cute little cetaceans. Little bit further into the fjord, we then spotted a big blow! Closeby was a humpback whale! This individual seemed to be resting so we got to see it surface multiple times nice and slowly close to us. After some time with this individuals it was time for us to head back towards Reykjavik, arming our hands on a cup of coffee, satisfied about these morning's sightings!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report form Eldey: We went out to seas with a light wind from the south east. Even so it was overcast we got a great look at the beauty of Hvalfördur. The seabirds were quite busy on the surface in some places but there were no cetaceans near by. Then we came across a small pod of 3 harbor porpoises that were quickly traveling across the fjord. Shortly after, we spotted the blow of a humpback whale. So we went from the smallest to the biggest cetacean within minutes. We spend a good amount of time with the humpback. At one point it swam parallel to our boat just about an arms length away. After a nice fluke dive and some more shallow dives we had to leave and return to Reykjavik assured that all on board got a great view at the animal.
