CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: It is a beautiful day today, the sun is shining, the sea is calm, but you can feel that winter is coming closer and closer. It is quite cold ! So as we sailed out into the bay we spotted some harbour porpoises rushing through the waves in the lookout for breakfast. Their skin was glimmering in the sunshine and then they disappeared. After a while we spotted a blow in the distance, so we headed there and as we arrived we found 2 humpback whales. They were really chill and just logging at the water surface for a while and then went down with 2 beautiful fluke dives. And then there was a third humpback whale close by ! In total we believe it was 4 humpback whales but we will need to confirm with our pictures back on land. We stayed with them for a while and then decided to leave then alone and see if we could find something else. And we did. We found 2 minke whales, one coming up very close to our boat ! The minke came up one more time but then continued its journey so we took that as our queue to do the same and headed back home. It was a great tour !

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: This afternoon the sky was still clear and blue and the seas had a bit of swell but no chop or white caps! We set sail and shortly after spotted some big white pectoral fins splashing in the distance! These belonged to a humpback whale so we excitedly got closer! The closer we got the calmer the whale got and then eventually went down with a fluke dive. It was taking quite a long dive so we decided to head onwards. We spotted 3 more humpbacks, so 4 humpbacks in total ! One as we were sailing and 2 were travelling together! The duo was quite sychronised and all showed they´re gorgeous flukes when they went for a dive. While we were sailing we also spotted a small pod of 3 harbour porpoises. We stayed with the humpbacks for a bit and enjoyed them in the sunshine. Eventually time ran out and we had to start our return journey. On the way back we spotted a pod of 5 white beaked dolphins! They were swimming nicely around us and came quite close on occasion!
