Tour at 17:00
We spotted three species in this tour as well, minke whales, dolphins and harbour porpoises. The dolphins weren't as active as in the 13 o'clock tour but they were still nice, they came quite close to us and we could observe them feeding for a while. We also saw nice minke whales. They surfaced very close to the boat and we got a good look because they never deep dived for a long time and came up to the surface several times. On this tour we also saw a baby minke whale towards the end and it was very cute :-)

At first we spotted a couple of harbour porpoises but they disappeared almost immediately so we sailed further out on the bay. There we found a minke whale, but it wasn't very approachable and it deep dived a lot. Then we found a nice minke whale that came up to the surface several times giving us a very nice sighting. Next it was a great group of white beaked dolphins. We spotted them from afar because they were making big splashes when they jumped up. It was a very active group and we enjoyed them a lot. They were very active, jumping and coming very close to the boat. They were around 15-20 individuals together. On the way back to the harbour we spotted one more minke whale, a nice bonus in the end ;-)
Tour at 9:00
The good weather period seems to keep on! Therefore we could spot the whales very easily. We had to go a bit further out into Faxaflói bay than the last days but we found several minke whales on this tour. The first three were always diving a longer time, we spotted them in an area where it was rather deep an just little food around. But all three came a few times close to the boat. Later we found an area with many feeding birds and there we had three very nice feeding minke whales. Just in the beginning of the tour we spotted as well a small group of harbour porpoises! A nice morning tour!!!
