CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We set sail with cloudy skies, gentle seas and a soft breeze in our backs. It didn't take us too long before we could spot a pod of around 6 harbour porpoises. We saw these cute, elusive little guys a good couple times when passing by, but we continued to sail further out into the bay. Some splashes then caught our attention and we found ourselves a pod of white-beaked dolphins! We started of seeing only a few individuals but soon it seemed the pod had at least 20 individuals! They were very curious and active, coming to check out the boat multiple times and often jumping out the water all around us. After an incredible spectacle we decided to give these dolphins some rest and shortly after we spotted a minke whale! We got to see it surface multiple times quite close to the ship until it vanished and we moved once again onwards. A second pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins then appeared and while we stayed with them multiple big splashes from another big pod of dolphins happened! This pod also had 20-30 individuals, swimming and jumping all around us. We stuck with them until it was time to head back to Reykjavik, but not before a second minke whale came alongside to say us goodbye.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 1300
Report from Eldey: We had hardly begun the tour this afternoon when we could see lots and lots of splashes ahead of us! It seemed like a super pod of white beaked dolphins, probably over 100 of them! They were jumping loads, feeding and swimming in all directions. This was the best way to ever start a tour. We then carried on further into the bay. After a bit of sailing we found a minke whale and then a humpback whale also surfaced right by it. We focused on the humpback which started to roll and lunge feed. It also showed us its dark fluke a few times. Other boats then arrived so we left. We then found the super pod of dolphins again, much further out this time. After a good look we then headed back to the harbour with a boat full of very happy people!
