✔ CLASSIC TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  13:00

Report from Elding: It just could not be any better, the sea was like a mirror, everything was reflected, clouds, mountains, buildings, birds, whales, boats, It was just soooo beautiful. The seabird life was so abundant , this usually means there is a lot of food in the bay but the whales were very few, however we did see all 4 of our usually species; 1 humpback whale, 1 minke whale, 3 small pods of 2-5 white-beaked dolphins and 2 harbour porpoises. The humpback whale seemed to be enjoying the waves made by the boats and tail slapped a few times when the waves rolled over its body. The whole trip was just perfect and many of the passengers enjoyed a cold beer for the journey home.

✔ PREMIUM TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  10:00

Report from Þruma RIB: We escaped the rain of Reykjavik to go on really nice tour with a calm and pleasant sea. We started with puffin watching that are really numerous on the islands near the harbour. We went further in the bay looking for the signs of the presence of a cetacean scanning the flat surface until we found a pod of 4-6 white beaked dolphins. The animals were a bit spreaded and did not came close to the boat but we could observe that a dolphin was with its calf, always surfacing together. We continued our tour and moving from an area to another we found 3 minke whales ! They were challenging to observe and it was not predictable to know when they would surface and where but it was still nice sightings. I could see a last minke whale during the way back but it was late and we had to bring our passengers to the harbour. It is nice to see that there is many minkes in the bay !

✔ CLASSIC TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  09:00

Report from Elding: We sailed out in the nicest conditions you can ask for, flat, calm seas, like a mirror. It rained a little but for most part it was dry but a little overcast. We first sailed north far out into the bay and 1 hour into the tour we encountered a lovely minke whale surfacing about 50 meters on our starboard side. After 5 nice surfaces it dove and disappeared. It was just amazing how easy it was to spot these animals so far in the distance. PERFECT spotting conditions. We then went further south and found another minke whale that surfaced in the glittered seas. We also got contacted by another one of our boats about a pod of white-beaked dolphins. As we got closer we saw it was actually Two pods, 4 in the first and 3 in the second and both had 2-3 adorable calves with them. It was just such a nice relaxed atmosphere this morning.
