Tour at 20:30

We went straight out into the whale watching area; the weather was perfect and the visibility as well. We spotted a group of White Beaked Dolphins passing by but after that we didn't spot anything. We enjoyed the sunset and the beautiful weather so in spite of no whales, the passengers left the boat with a big smile and a complimentary ticket.

Tour at 17:00

This tour we headed straight out to the whale watching area and really soon after we reached it we spotted the first Minke Whales. We spotted the Mike Whales the whole tour long and a lot of them, some surfacing really close to the boat. Sometimes they where so many Mike Whales that we could hardly decide where to look. On our way back we visited Lundey but didn't were so lucky as with the whales - almost no puffin on the island. There is no need to say more just beautiful weather and a fantastic tour!

Tour at 14:00

Report from Elding: First we headed out to Lundey to visit the puffins, lots of puffins to see. Than we headed out to Faxaflói bay in a beautiful weather and a really calm sea. Soon we spotted some harbour porpoises, few of them surfaced together and was really nice to look at. Than we spotted some diving gannets, so many of them and they were so spectacular diving all around us. Than all of a sudden we spotted a black back. A minke whale! We had 3-4 minke whales around us, surfacing around the boat and in the sun. Picture perfect moments. One of them came really close. Wow what a beautiful tour.

Tour at 13:00

The weather was fantastic when we headed out again this afternoon. Our first stop was the puffin island Lundey and lots of puffins there. The whales were a bit difficult in the beginning of the tour and the first two were impossible to get close to. On the way back to the harbour we spotted lots of diving gannets and in the same area two very nice minke whales. They surfaced quite close to us many times. We also spotted two nice pods of harbour porpoises. But the time was out so we had to sail back to the harbour with lots of smiling passengers. Nice tour.

Tour at 10:00

In the puffin island Lundey we saw tons of puffins. Then we went out in search for whales and spotted a group of Harbour Porpoises which we spotted several times throughout the tour. The next specie that we spotted was the Minke Whale. This minke came up several times until we found a spectacular group of White Beaked Dolphins. They were probably 20 of them swimming around us, leaping out of the water one meter away from our passengers! One of the dolphins had a giant cod in his mouth. After this spectacular show we found a minke whale which came up 4 times before we headed back to the harbour. Wonderful trip this morning and the weather couldn't have been better.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafúlan: First we headed out to Lundey. The sun was shining and we spotted a lot of puffins. After we reached the whale watching area we spotted some White Beaked Dolphins surfacing quite often. We followed these dolphins for a while and headed then further out to search also for some Minke Whales. Later we found a few Minke Whales but always surfacing quite far away and just once or twice. But in the end we found a Minke Whale juvenile surfacing often really close to the boat. On our way back we spotted another Minke Whale which came quite close to the boat. Good tour!
