Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out in the very moody looking bay this afternoon with a bit of a swell. Luckily it did not rain much until on the way back home. We only had to search for a little while before we saw a big flock of birds, there was Northern Gannets diving and lots of Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Glaucous gulls and Herring gulls. This time it did pay of searching the area with the birds and after a short while we spotted two Minke Whales in the area! These Minkes were very active changing direction often and coming close to us at times. It was a very nice encounter with these beautiful Minkes and we spent a good while with them. In the end we headed back to Reykjavík. On our way back we spotted one Minke how came up to the surface few times before it disappeared again, so soon we were on our way. On our way back we enjoyed the beautiful rainbows that appeared in the fjord.
