CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: Sailing out into Faxafloi bay this morning, the sun was out and warming the cold water, giving us great visibility and an enjoyable way out. After sailing for quite a while, we finally encountered a duo of humpback whales, peacefully resting at the surface. We managed to stay with them for over half an hour, as they floated up and down at the surface, calmly. We then headed further North, to find once again 2 other humpbacks ! These were slighlty more active, coming up and down fluke diving every once in a while. Whilst we waited for them to come up, we could spot over 5 minke whales all around us roaming in the same area. We came back having seen plenty of baleen whales and sun shining through.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey:
We headed out with partly sunshine in the bay and a little fresh icelandic breeze. As we sailed out for a while we then spotted a minke whale, so we stopped for a little while and watched it surface a few times. Then we saw a blow a little further away. As we arrived there the humpback whale all of a sudden breached ! A really nice sight ! Then it calmed down and swam away. But there were lots of other blows and humpbacks around, so we had a look at them too, and not only that, a lot of minke whales showed up all around us, which were surfacing a lot ! It was a really nice tour !

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 17:00
Report from Eldey:
It was a rainy tour with Icelandic sea conditions. We sailed out for quite a while, before we found our first humpback whale. It was surfacing a few times, when all of a sudden we saw splashes in the distance. Another humpback whale was breaching very often, so we headed there! When we arrived there the whale was surfacing quite a lot and then did a peduncle throw, followed by another breach and another and another ! It was an amazing tour !
