Tour at 13:00
The weather was getting better when we set out this afternoon. The puffins were all around the island. We spotted one small pod of harbour porpoises but they disappeared soon. We were searching for a long time, crossing a big whale watching area, looking for whales, but despite the great conditions and good visibility we didn’t see any sign of bigger whales even with a good help from our lovely passengers so we gave them some complimentary tickets.

It was quite windy when we headed out this morning. First we sailed to the puffin island, checking out the puffins. Then out to Faxaflói. Because the rough sea condition it was quite difficult to find the whales this morning. We spotted many blows from the whales but it was very difficult to spot them because of the waves. Some harbour porpoises showed up a few times but only for a few seconds. There was only one minke whale witch came quite close to the boat, rest of them surfaced very far away. So quit rough and difficult tour.
