CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Finally a good sunny sky and a calm wind welcomed us in the bay this morning. We sailed towards west despite a bit of swell and we encountered different bird flocks all around, especially northern fulmars, kittiwake and few guillemot. After about one hour we spotted a couple of blows very far and we decided to go towards them to check better. We finally see 2 humpback whales very close to us, pretty relaxed. Their breathing sequence lasted few minutes on the surface and we could see their rostrum and quite few fluke dives very well! After few minutes I just spotted other 3 humpback all around us, busy feeding and chilling. And another individual then decided to join the pair we saw at the beginning to be admired too. We spent a nice quality time observing their dives and their blows so close! Such a nice tour!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsulan: We started the tour with a very excited crew as there was a lot of activity in the previous tour. We sailed of the harbor and we started to get further from land. The weather was nice but it was cold as we had some wind hitting us from the north. Suddenly, we saw a blow in the distance. When we got closer we realized it was a humpback whale acting quite elusively. We decided to head further as we saw more blows in the distance. When we got closer to the blows we noticed there were so many humpbacks feeding in the area with the help of some black headed gulls, black backed seagulls and some kittiwakes too!! We spent some time with them and at some point they got extremely close to us so we could even hear the noise they make when they exhale. We spent some time with them and when we decided to head back home we were surprised by some tail slaps very close to us and right afterwards a series of about 8 breaches!!! What an amazing tour! We saw a least 8 different humpback whales in the tour. After that, we decided to head back home so we could be back in time.
