CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Today was a beautiful day, with sunshine all over Faxaflói but - as shouldn´t come as a surprise from Iceland - also quite a bit of wind. We sailed past Hvalfjorður, the ´whale fjord´, all the way to Akranes, and further into the bay to search for signs of whale or dolphin activity. On the way we saw lots of beautiful seabirds, such as eider ducks, common guillemots, and a northern gannet. The whales and dolphins on the other hand were more difficult to spot. The beauty, but at the same time the challenge of looking for wildlife is that we never know what we will find and where the animals are. We therefore offered our passengers the opportunity to come on another, complimentary tour to get a second chance at hopefully seeing the blow of a minke whale, the tail of a humpback, or the jumps of dolphins.

PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 10:00

Report from RIB : It was sunny and calm on Reykjavik this morning when we left the harbour, but once again Icelandic weather is unpredictable and much more choppy than expected. We tried to go further out but we felt like it would be uncomfortable to continue, specially for the way back, that the wind was picking up and that it would be very difficult in those conditions to explore good areas. We turned back and offered to our passengers the possibility to reschedule or to have a refund.
