CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900
Report from Eldey: The harbor woke up fresh and covered on a thin layer of snow from last night snowfall. We sailed into the bay with some clouds and a medium-big swell from the last days storms. We decided to check the same area where we have recently seen some wildlife and indeed we got lucky with the sightings again. There were at least 3 humpback whales in the waters just outside Hafnarförður. We could get a nice and close look at two of them. They were surfacing quiet often to take breaths and we could even see the one of them lunge feed at the surface with the belly up. Fantastic display to watch! On the way back we got some sunshine and some snow as well just to confirm that icelandic weather gives you everything, everywhere, all at once.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed today in a really good mood due to very beautiful weather conditions. The sun was shining and the hopes of seeing whales were also big since in the morning tour we spotted 3 humpback whales. Arriving to Grótta the swell started to increase but nothing that our captain couldn't handle. When we arrived to Hafnarfjörður we were greeted by 3 different humpback whales feeding and having fun in their natural environment. The conditions were just perfect the sun was shinning the whales were showing some nice flukes and the swell decreased a lot. Sadly after spending more than 1 hour with them we had to come back to Reykjavik. On the returning tour we saw some sea birds like guillemots, different types of gulls and cormorants. Finally we arrived at the harbour again after a very successful tour.
