WHALE WATCHING TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Finally we were able to head back out into Faxaflói Bay after a few cancelled days due to the stormy conditions we have been having  throughout the country. Also nice to go out in sunshine which has also been shy lately. We motored first to the north west and after 1 hour we found a very large scattered pod of white-beaked dolphins, at least 20-30 individuals, spread out over a very large area. Birds even got involved in the strategic feeding behaviours they were observed doing. Unfortunatly no whales but the dolphins were definitely made up for that and stole the show.  A bit of swell left in the bay but generally a very comfortable tour.

WHALE WATCHING TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: This mornings tour was so nice but this afternoon´s tour was even better. Not only did we seen a few small scattered pods of white-beaked dolphins, 3-7 in each, even got to see a few babies with them also. Always amazing to see the mothers and their babies surfacing at the same time. If that was enough we also encountered 3 different minke whales and one of which was a small individual that looked to be interacting with us a little and circling the boat.  We even got a quick glimpse of some very fast surfacing harbour porpoises, but not all passengers got to see them. It was a nothing amazing tour.
