Again we headed straight out to Faxaflói bay, it took some time until we spotted a blow, but nothing else than that we waited around but never saw the whale it self only the blow. After a while again some passengers spotted a whale pretty close by, but once again it was never seen again. For the third time we could smell the minke whale very well, but never found it. So unfortunately no whales to be seen on this tour so we gave our passengers complimentary tickets and really hope to see them all again. We also spotted few puffins on the tour and one really clumsy one, it was very nice seeing them.

We headed straight out to our normal whale watching area. It took us a short time until we spotted our first Minke Whale. This whale surfaced really often and we could follow this animal for quite some time. Then we headed further out to find also another whale. On our tour this afternoon we could enjoy the beautiful and unique birdlife in the bay Faxaflói. We spotted a lot of Gannets flying and diving down to hunt for fish, some Fulmars, Black Backed Gulls and two puffins even though the puffin season is over. Later on we spotted two more Minke Whales in the same area also surfacing a few times before we had to head back to the harbour. Nice tour!

It was still a bit windy when we headed out this morning. After searching for a long time we finally found an area with diving gannets and there we found the whales, at least three minke whales. It was quite difficult to get close to them and they were only surfacing once or twice, but with lots of patients we got few good sightings. And the gannets where fantastic to watch.
