• CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today's whale watching tour from Reykjavík is on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

Report from Eldey: We sailed out with good sea conditions but windy weather. As we sailed out into the bay, we passed by the island Viðey and then in the distance we spotted 2 blow. There were 2 humpback whales, so we headed there, to join them in hanging out. ;) As we arrived they went down for a dive, but they didn't spent much time under water, so they surfaced a little further away again, but still in the same direction they were before. It were 2 well known individuals: Radar and Banana. We watched them fluke diving for several times, before we made a little round in the bay, to see if we could find something else as well. Unfortunately there were no other cetaceans around, so on our way back we stopped with the two humpbacks again and enjoyed the view. As they went down with a fluke dive, we also had to head back to the harbor. What a great tour. :)
