Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 and 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitizer is advised.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We set sail with a fair bit of swell this morning but beautiful lighting as the sun was slowly coming up. We sailed out into Faxafloi and were eager to see what was in store for us today. The wind picked up quite a bit and we were having fun riding the waves like a mini rollercoaster. Sadly we had no luck with the animals today and therefore gave out complimentary tickets so that everyone would have the chance to come again. These last two years so plenty of time to go home and return for another adventure.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out this afternoon with fresh hope to spot some cetaceans! This time we hugged the shore a little more and sailed close to Akranes. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape but didn't have any successful sightings yet. Then our luck turned and we found a pod of 7 white beaked dolphins! There was maybe 3 calves in the group that sometimes became curious and came a bit closer. They seemed to be busy feeding and did a few jumps for us too. We managed to enjoy them for a bit but then had to turn around head to harbour as we went quite far out.
