Today's Whale Watching tours from Reykjavík are on schedule. Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey : This morning we sailed with a sunny clear sky on Faxafloi bay . Around 10 miles from the port we came by at least 12 white baked dolphins happily cruising around even performed some breaches next to us. After a while admiring them fog came and we continued our journey to the open waters. Even with the fog we managed to spot a humpback whale that we stayed with her for multiple dives and she said goodbye with a nice fluke dive.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We left the harbour in the sun this afternoon but within minutes were surrounded by fog again which lasted throughout most of the trip. We headed towards Hvalfjodur after having success there lots recently. Luckily as we got here some of the fog lifted. As this happened we spotted 1 harbour porpoise on each side of the boat. Then in the sun glare we spotted a blow from a humpback whale! It surfaced a few times before going for a fluke dive. Then to our surprise the next time it came up there was a second humpback right by it! We then followed this second humpback for the rest of the sighting as they split up across the fjord. It would go for very long dives, lifting it's fluke very high out of the water. During this time we also saw a pod of 6 porpoises surface a lot close to us. We then headed home into the wind and fog after a really good tour.
