Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The conditions were perfect for spotting cetaceans, the only swell out on the bay was a very long underswell since the strong winds yesterday. Still it took us a very long time to find cetaceans on the tour. We had looked carefully around and were optimistic especially because of the rich bird life around us. It was not until we were already on our way back to harbour that we spotted 5-6 white beaked dolphins. We got a good look at them when they swam around our boat. We even saw them jumping out of the water for some time. It was difficult to leave the dolphins but it was already starting to get dark when we left the area aroud 5 a clock

Birds seen on todays tour include: Greater black-backed gulls, black-headed gulls, glaucous gulls, Iceland gulls, European shag, cormorants, common guillemots and eider ducks.
