Report from Eldey: Second day of sun and vitamin D level is escalating quickly, at least judging by the amount of smiles we could find in the upper deck as soon as we started the trip. Those smiles were frozen by the really cold wind we had to face in our approach towards Kollafjörður, but it was more than worthy as it was waiting for us, as usual for the last 20 days, our beloved humpback whale. We caught it while eating and we could observe this animal lunge feeding, rolling itself around and breathing heavily around us. It wasn´t alone as it was followed by a loyal army of seabirds ready to take advantage of the leftovers left behind by the whale and a curious harbour seal which stuck to the feeding whale few times. After enjoying this wildlife combo, we took a ride around the bay because the weather was so great that it was worthy to enjoy the views around the harbour of Reykjavik. Another 10 out of 10 day in the sea.
