COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser is advised. Masks are not mandatory but are recommended in areas where keeping distance from others is not possible.

Report from Eldey: It was a very windy morning but it dropped fast to allow us to sail the 1pm tour. We first searched close to land in sheltered waters where whales have been encountered before, two winters ago (we had closed down our operation last winter due to COVID). With no whales to be found we searched further offshore and after 1hr and 20minutes we found  a large pod of 20-30 scattered white-beaked dolphins or more accurately they found us. Many females and their calves surfacing together. After about 20 minutes enjoying the dolphins, a humpback whale surfaced just 200 meters a head . We approached slowly, it dove barely arching its back and surfaced again 7-8 minutes later much closer. We had 7 nice surfaces before it went on another long dive, this time after a nice arched back and a very lazy tail that barely broke the surface. After another 7-8 minutes humpie surfaced again, this time just 2-3 meters on our port side. So amazing.  Once it arched and dove we sadly decided to leave and head home. We sailed amongst the dolphins once more on the way. A very cold but beautiful cetacean filled day.
