Tour at 09:00:

Report from Elding: The weather has definitely turned and is becoming more the way it can be expected at the end of November. While the last week we have been spoiled with calm seas, sunshine and a bay full of life, today we faced cold and strong winds, many waves and, unfortunatley, no cetaceans. We searched all along the Snaefellsness Peninsula, heading to Qualfjöður and then into the area of Kollafjöður, where we've been seeing the humpback whale we have called Viðey. But also of this individual there was no sign. Non the less our passengers were very brave and many of them stayed outside the entire tour, enjoying a sightseeing ride of the coastline. Of course everyone was given a complimentary ticket to come out again.

Birds seen on today's tour: Common Guillemot, Northern Gannet, Eider Duck, Icelandic Gull, Red Merganser, Black Cormorant.

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today. It is very windy today, and therefore the seas are quite rough. We do have sea sickness tablets available free of charge at the ticket office. For more information contact us by email elding@elding.is or by phone +354 519 5000.
