CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: This morning brought us gloomy skies and just a little bit of sunshine peeking trough the clouds. The sea was deceptively calm, but as we got further out, the waves increased and everybody got a good core workout trying to stay upright. About an hour in the tour, we spotted our first blow! This was Neila, a humpback whale we know very well. She was taking short dives, lifting her giant tail out of the water before surprising us by coming up very close to the boat! We enjoyed this amazing sight before turning around and immediately spotting a second humpback whale! Not far from this one, we even aw the blow of a third humpback whale, but we decided to stick with this one. It was more active, tail slapping and displaying all kinds of impressive behavior. After a last beautiful fluke dive, we sadly had to say goodbye. We warmed up with hot chocolate, enjoying our final moments at sea before arriving back in port.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: When we set off for our afternoon trip, the sun was shining! This out us in the best of moods to go search for some whales. And that we did. After some cruising in the sunshine, we spotted a blow! There was a humpback whale nearby but it fluked before we managed to get close and then never appeared within sight again. But no worries! We carried on because we spotted more blows. As we were getting closer to those, we were surprised by a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins that interacted with us briefly and carried on travelling. We were excited to see their dorsal fins zooming past! We arrived by the blows and spotted 2 humpback whales together! We observed them breathing a bit and then a THIRD one showed up! Three humpback whales all together! One of them was also very familiar to us. It was Neila! Neila decided to go her own way and we followed her for a moment. She did a very unexpected full breach which had us beyond excited! Then, we took another look at the other two and started making our way back to port. As we were sailing we passed by another pod of around 7 white-beaked dolphins and spotted a beautiful rainbow over the mountains. A perfect ending to an amazing tour!
