Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: There was very nice sailing today, the sun was shining and the sea was calm for most of the tour although toward the end the wind and waves picked up. We sailed from Reykjavík past the islands offshore and towards Akranes, from there we sailed along the peninsula and offshore until turning back to Reykjavík. We had the fortune of having a lot of wildlife in the harbour; there was a raft of Eider ducks, a group of Cormorants drying their feathers along the harbour wall and some Red-Breasted Mergansers sheltering in the harbour. We would have hoped to see more wildlife out at sea but the Eider ducks, various gulls, and Shags were still nice to see. We also saw a pod of Harbour Porpoise, the pod was 3-5 individuals and were a little shy so didn´t stick around unfortunately. We would have hoped for more cetaceans but a beautiful sunset rounded off the tour quite well! As we didn´t see any whales or dolphins complimentary tickets were handed out.
