Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: It was cold on the bay and the wind picked more up during the tour. Our boat rocked up and down while we headed out on the bay because of the high swells that were our reminder of the storm that went over the country two days ago. We found our first cetaceans after only 15 minutes sailing, this was a group of 5-7 harbour porpoises, we never got a good look at these small animals. Even though only few passengers saw the porpoises we are sure everyone saw our next species, 4 white beaked dolphins. These were three adults and one calf! We spent a good time with this pod that for the most time kept very calm and swam slowly around. after a while they became more elusive and after we had spent few minutes looking for them we decided to keep on going. We saw one other pod of harbour porpoises but like the first time only few were able to see them.
