✔ CLASSIC TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  13:00

Report from Elding: The sea was still really calm today which is always nice to spot the whales. It was raining in Reykjavik area and we could escape a bit from it when we were far from the land. We saw many whales during this tour but they where hard to approach and to show to our passengers. In total we have seen 5-6 humpback whales and 1 minke whale. We could approach and show to our passengers 3 of these humpback whales. From the others we could only see distant blows. The first individual was the hardest to observe, surfacing only once and disappearing for many minutes. The animal was probably feeding at the bottom. After half an hour we moved until we found a second humpback whale that was also challenging to follow but that all our passenger could see. We were out of time and starting to move back when the whale decided to say goodbye surfacing close to the boat and showing us a beautiful fluke dive. During the way back we found many birds really active near the surface. Another humpback whale surfaced to our right so we stopped to observe this individual. We finally had to leave to arrive to Reykjavik late, wet, happy.

✔ PREMIUM TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  10:00

Report from Þruma RIB: It was a little choppier than what was forcasted today but it made for a fun trip out into the bay of Faxaflói. We first stopped and had a quick look at the Engey puffin colony, not so many puffins on this island but probably the best one to get nice and close to the ones on the rocks. We then zoomed of offshore and found ourselves a pair of very chilled out humpback whales. It ended up being a really nice morning tour despite the sea conditions and rain, ugh.
