Akureyri in the North of Iceland
Our love for whales and wildlife has spread! In summer of 2016 we started operating whale watching tours from down town Akureyri. Now a couple of years later, we have merged with another boat operator in the area so we can provide a greater variety of services and higher quality tours.
Sighting guarantee
With 100% sightings in summer of 2016, 2017 & 2018, Akureyri is one of the best places in Iceland to watch whales! Most common whales seen on the tours are the humpback whales, but other species such as minke whales, northern bottlenose whales, killer whales and even blue whales have been spotted. Remember, if you don't see a whale, you can try again for free in Akureyri OR Reykjavík!
Big ships & high speed boats
Choose your experience! With different types of boats, we can guarantee a trip of a lifetime. Select the classic tour and board our catamaran Hólmasól, capable of comfortably carrying up to 190 passengers, or the express tour and go on Sólfar I or II, a smaller group with only 12 passengers and 2 crew. The tours are completely different as they provide a different feel and angle for encounters and views. The choice is yours!
Daily departures
While only running for 10+ people in winter, we offer multiple guaranteed departures a day in summer. No matter if you want to sail the seas in the morning, noon or evening, there's something for everyone.
