It didn't take long to find a humpback whale (Frodo), this morning. We saw lots of nice fluke dives and then out of nowhere; many peduncle throws, multiple tail slaps and a breach! The afternoon tour saw Frodo again, this time lunge feeding and surfacing close to shore before breaching, and again, tail slapping multiple times! WOW!
This evening we sailed out in a bit of windy conditions, but under a starry sky. We waited patiently all evening but sadly were not joined by the northern lights, so we offered complimentary tickets to all our passengers!
This morning, the sea was as flat as a lake and it almost felt like summer! It didn't take long until we found our friend Frodo, the humpback whale! The afternoon was the same, after a short ride we found Frodo once more, when an eagle-eyed passenger spotted a breach of a minke whale! We also saw 2 harbour porpoises nearby!
There were some clouds in the sky but there were some gaps that got bigger and we were able to see stars through them. The lights never really showed up however, so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers.
The sea was glass this morning, which is great for wildlife spotting! After about 30 minutes, we found a humpback whale (Frodo) near Engey island! We saw beautiful fluke dives and even a peduncle throw. We also saw 7-8 feeding harbour porpoises! In the afternoon we found Frodo again as soon as we left the harbour!
Not too long into the morning tour, we spotted a humpback whale (Frodo). After a while we sailed further and found another 2 humpback whales, likely a mother and calf! In the afternoon we encountered a beautiful humpback whale right next to Skarfabakki pier. We saw its fluke a few times and even a spy hop!
We sailed out under a clear starry sky. After about 40 min of sailing a pale arch appeared over Esja, but is stayed faint and therefore we ended up giving out complimentary tickets, so our passengers can come again!
This morning we had the taste of a summer day! Right after we left the harbour, we spotted a big blow belonging to a humpback whale (Frodo)! It came so close and was even a bit stinky after feeding. The afternoon was equally enjoyable as we found a humpback whale (Frodo) doing fluke dives, lunge feeds and rolling!
About half an hour into the tour, we spotted the first bit of auroras of the night, but it faded away shortly. So we waited for a bit and then, BAM, we had amazing northern lights! They started as one green arch, then turning into two!
