A huge cloud of smoke from the most recent volcano eruption made for the perfect backdrop today. This morning we found three humpback whales! In the afternoon it didn't even look like a winter day in Iceland; no clouds at all and 3 humpback whales all around - one was so close we could almost feel its blow on our faces!

In the afternoon we spotted a blow not 10 minutes into the tour - we had found our first of 5 humpback whales! We also saw a grey seal and 3 harbour porpoises.

At the beginning of the tour we could see a faint arch above Esja, and could even see this with our naked eye. As it stayed faint for the rest of the night, we gave out complimentary tickets so everyone can try again!

In the afternoon, we didn't have to wait long before we spotted 2 humpback whales and also 2 grey seals that were bottling!
