Tonight we are expecting an aurora activity of 1/9, E 6 m/s and -3°C. Currently the moon is Waxing Crescent and 84% illuminated. Partly clouded skies are forecasted in the area.

Report from Eldey: We tried to see the northern light tonight with uncertain conditions. There was clouds but also often gaps in the sky allowing us to see the stars. It was windy so the clouds were moving fast. The kp index forecast announced only 1 of solar activity which is low but when we started the tour the actual activity seemed higher. We left the harbour and observed after a small bit of green light in front of the boat just above Esja. The lights would appear, sometimes diffused in large areas of the sky mixed with clouds, sometimes a faded arch would appear through the cloud visible with the naked eye but not very strong before fading or disappearing behind the clouds. It was fun and nice to see the lights appearing here and there but we could not have very satisfying northern lights so we gave complimentary tickets to our passengers.
