We set out tonight with some clouds but some gaps forecast so warmed up with hot chocolate and blankets and waited patiently. We started to see some stars in the sky, but unfortunately this time, we didn‘t manage to see any aurora, so we gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another evening.
With good weather and a little wind, we headed out deep into the bay this morning in search of whales. We soon found 3 humpback whales feeding in the same area, and spent a good amount of time with them. In the afternoon, we headed out again and soon spotted a shy minke whale before continuing our search and finding 4 humpback whales likely feeding with many birds around. A great day in Faxaflói bay!

We left the harbour with some snow and a little breeze, but soon after the visibility cleared up and some nice gaps in the clouds appeared. We could see the stars shimmering through these gaps, and hoped for something more, but unfortunately the aurora decided not to appear tonight so we gave our guests complimentary tickets to try their luck another evening!
We sailed out with clear skies and a gentle breeze, and after some searching, spotted 8 white-beaked dolphins! A good encounter with them before we headed back to land. In the afternoon, the weather remained beautiful and we first saw 50 white-beaked dolphins, and we sailed onwards before finding 2 humpback whales! We enjoyed the show before our time was running out, and we headed back to land after a brilliant day at sea!
On our morning tour, we headed out with a wintry mix and calm seas. After some searching, we found a friendly minke whale, coming up regularly and close to the boat - a great morning. In our afternoon tour, we headed out with two boats - Eldey & Hafsúlan - and on both of our boats spotted a minke whale feeding soon at the start of the tour. We then headed out further and spotted 4 harbour porpoises and soon came back to land after a successful day at sea!

With clear skies and calm seas, we sailed out and waited patiently to see what this evening had in store for us. After about half an hour of sailing, the northern lights appeared! First, just a faint hue in the sky, then they got stronger and beautiful green arches appeared - another absolutely brilliant evening at sea.
We sailed out for our morning tour on a sunny and clear day, a nice break from the wintry weather. We soon spotted 2 minke whales but they were quite shy and elusive and surfaced only a few sporadic times before leaving, so we continued our search for signs of other animals. We ran out of time so gave our guests complimentary tickets to try again on another tour. In the afternoon, the bright sun was still with us and we soon spotted a humpback whale! We saw elegant fluke dives, and then encountered a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins! A successful end to the day.

Wow! A truly magical night at sea. We headed out with low wind, calm seas and a clear skies - full of promise. Then, the northern lights appeared! It started as an arc, and then they started to dance and create some curtains, lasting the whole tour! Incredible!
On this grey & calm spring morning we set sail, with fulmars keeping us company on the way out. We soon had a brief sighting of a minke whale. It came up a few times but quickly left, so we continued searching. In the end, we didn‘t manage to see anything else so gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try their luck again. In the afternoon, the snow had picked up and we headed out full of hope. We briefly spotted 2-4 shy harbour porpoises but unfortunately nothing bigger, so again gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another time!

We sailed out tonight full of hope with the beautiful city lights around us. We spotted a faint green of the aurora behind the clouds, and waited patiently for some gaps to appear, so we could see them better. Unfortunately, we were not lucky this time so gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again on another evening!
