Report from Eldey: Our afternoon tour was an interesting one. We had a very sunny (and somewhat warm) day, with good visibility and low wind. But the sea was still a bit choppy, which meant our passengers and crew had to push for their adventurous side. Nevertheless, the animals didn't disappoint. We where accompanied by thousands of seabirds throughout the whole tour, from multiple species. It didn't take long for us to spot our first cetacean species, a minke whale, with a few more of them appearing throughout the tour. But the highlight of the tour was when we found a humpback whale, which was calmly hunting near us, entertaining our passengers for a while, before heading back to Reykjavik.

In the event of unfavourable weather or unstable sea conditions, we sometimes have to cancel our tours for safety reasons. But that doesn't mean you can't make the most of your day in the city! There are numerous things to do in Reykjavík on a rainy day and many of our partners even offer tours that are less weather dependent than ours.
