This morning we sailed into the bay and found 3 humpback whales swimming among the gannets, coming close to our boat. In the afternoon, we saw a humpback whale breach! We then found a second and third humpback whale, one of which was peduncle throwing, rolling and pec slapping only a few meters away from us!

This morning we saw a lot of puffins and soon found a lunge feeding humpback whale! We also found a minke whale before another humpback whale appeared! In the afternoon we saw a minke whale before finding 3 humpback whales, smelling of the fish they were eating! On our way back we even saw a 4th humpback whale!

We sailed out this morning in calm seas. We found a total of 8 humpbacks whales (maybe even more) and soon we also found 20 white-beaked dolphins feeding among them - we were so busy we almost missed out a minke whale passing behind us! In the afternoon we saw 4-5 humpback whales occasionally lunge feeding and rolling.

We started our morning spotting the many seabirds of the bay, including puffins, before we saw a humpback whale amongst them! Eventually we also found a minke whale passing by fast on our way home. In the afternoon we found several feeding humpback whales and had great close up encounters with at least 2 of them!

This morning we found 2 minke whales and a humpback whale, who at one point popped up right next to us! In the afternoon we sailed out in the glassy sea and soon found a humpback whale showing us multiple fluke dives and even rolling around, flapping its fins! We also found a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins and a minke whale.

On this last tour of the season, we set sail from Reykjavík with a promising forecast. Once the sun had set, we could see an arch of northern lights, expanding over the whole sky and occasionally varying in strength! Magical!
