Sightings: The northern lights were already visible before our tour started and we saw them quite early on just after letting the city lights of Reykjavik behind us. First we noticed some horizontal lines changing slowly into an arch and finally to vertical lines. The green lights were appearing and disappearing, mostly faint but from time to time gaining a bit more intensity. But above us were also some rainbow like thinner pale lines all across the firmament and on the camera they were intensely blue.
