The northern lights forecast looks promising for tonight! we are expecting clear skies and moderate northern lights activity (3/9).

Sightings: One forecast said it was going to be very cloudy the other said it was going to be clear. Well the best one had it, well done new.belgingur.is. It was clear the whole night and as soone as we left the harbour and city lights we had our first sighting of the incredible green aurora borealis. They did not leave us the entire time we were out and even got quite strong for a while. The only thing was the cold, difficult for some to stay out in it for so long but thats whats great about the cruises, you can stay in the nice warm saloon with a hot beverage in hand until you get the guide over the sound system telling you to head out. I very good night and just goes to show you, some forecasts are not always right :)
