Aurora forecast is looking good for tonight (4/9) and we might expect some scattered clouds.
Sightings: A beautiful evening to be sailing out into Faxaflói in search of mother natures colourful northern lights. The moon was also very bright and it very interesting to see a halo around it. As soon as we were out of the harbour we had our first signs of the lights. A faint green arch across the sky, this got stronger and stronger over the next hour, after which it died off, giving our passengers time to enjoy their complimentary hot chocolate and rum. It was a very cold evening and as the northern lights reduced to almost nothing all our passengers were happy to head home. A great evening under the moon, planets, stars and the stunning northern lights.
