Tour status: RUNNING

The forecast is optimistic for Northern Lights cruise tonight with low cloud cover and high activity. So we will go out this evening ! Please contact our ticket office for bookings or further information.

Sightings: The sea was quite rough for the whale watching trips today, but as we stay close to Reykjavik for the Northern Lights cruise we were barely affected by the swell in our tour. When we left the harbour we could already see a faint arch light in the sky, so we had every reason to be hopeful for tonight ! After few minutes of sailing, we stopped in a nice stop where it was dark enough for us to be able to enjoy the northern lights. First we had to be patient, the aurora borealis was definitely here but a little bit shy. We waited for a time under a clear night sky, full of stars, until the lights started to burst suddenly. It was mesmerizing to see dancing and undulating lights happening so quickly ! We could enjoy the show for a while before it slowly calmed down. Shortly the lights went out, but during our way back they came back to say goodbye. It was a privilege to be on this boat tonight and to witness such a magnificent phenomenon.
