We are expecting clear skies and an activity of 4 out of 9, that's pretty high! We're optimistic about tonight's tour.
Tour status: RUNNING
Sightings: The activity forecast dropped down to 1/9 but this didn't hinder a great northern light tour to happen and to amaze us. Plenty of stars were visible at the slightly clouded sky, even a shooting star showed up. Short after we left the city lights of Reykjavík behind we found a long arch at the sky. There we looked at the first northern lights and soon after the green light got intenser. The appearance changed and suddenly many vertical lines came out of the arch and then formed their original shape again. So the natural light show went on and it was very long permanently visible, slowly changing its aspect and covering at times half of the firmament. In duration and space coverage it would be difficult to top. So everybody enjoyed this beautiful spectacle until the clouds covered more of the sky and we made our way back to harbour with a hot chocolate to warm us up.
