Report from Eldey: After a rainy/snowy day the droplets decided to have a brake and so we went in search of aurora! The sea was a bit wavy but our captain steered the vessel just right so we wouldn't feel the waves that much. After about an hour into the tour a big gap in the clouds showed up and we could see Jupiter from there but nothing else. But then, we heard something familiar and no, it wasn't the lights, it was a whale! In fact, it was 2 humpback whales feeding on some fish. We quickly turned up the floodlight and pointed it to the animal. It came really close at times and we could see it's dark body and sometimes even the fluke! This northern lights tour turned into a whale-watching tour! Unfortunately, the lights never showed up and we gave out complimentary tickets so our passengers could have another go for free.
