With a cold breeze coming from land, we went on an adventure! The sun was shining low, perfect for golden hour pics! About 15 minutes into the tour, we saw blows from 2 humpback whales! It was Banana and their companion again. As we moved further along, we also found about 50 white-beaked dolphins; jumping, bow-riding, wave riding.. all of it!

The sea was flat and the stars were shining almost as bright as the moon. We sailed by Viðey island to see the Imagine Peace Tower and then further towards mount Esja. The northern lights first tested our patience, but then appeared all around us!

The forecast was good and there were supposed to be big gaps in between the clouds. We admired the Imagine Peace Tower on our way into the bay, but unfortunately the auroras never showed up, so we gave out complimentary tickets to all.
Today we had a clear blue sky and lovely calm seas. We headed towards the islands where two eagle eyed passengers spotted a tail by Lundey. We slowly approached the area and soon were in the company of 2 humpback whales - our friend Banana and their companion! After enjoying their presence for a while, we admired a beautiful sunset on our way home!
We sailed out this afternoon with strong winds but moderate sea, so it definitely looked worse than it felt. Luckily we didn't have to go out very far, before we found our 2 resident humpback whales from the previous weeks. They were travelling alongside each other and we got nice views of them as they swam close to land - they also showed us their flukes!

The Kp index forecast changed from 1 to 3, so we just needed to be patient as we started seeing gaps in the sky. After 2 hours of searching however, we issued complimentary tickets to our patient passengers, so they could try again another night!

We sailed out as the sun was rising over the horizon. We soon found 2 very sleepy humpback whales before also seeing 2 harbour seals. In the afternoon, we quickly spotted the same pair of humpback whales, but this time they were feeding and we could smell their fishy breath. We got to see one of them do peduncle throws before spotting 3 harbour porpoises!

It was cold as we sailed out this morning, but we suited up with overalls and hot drinks. We soon found our 2 humpback whales near Viðey island, as well as a cute harbour seal and 3 speedy harbour porpoises! In the afternoon, the winds were still blowing strong, but luckily we didn't have to sail far before we found the 2 humpback whales from the morning again!
We sailed out with the first light of day into slightly choppy seas and a decent wind. We got lucky in our search as not too long in, we found our pair of humpback whales. In the afternoon, we didn't have to go far, before we found our 2 humpback whales again. We watched them logging, feeding and traveling and got to see their beautiful flukes as they dove!

We hadn't sailed out of the harbour when we first saw the northern lights! There were multiple arches appearing in the night sky, even crossing the beam of the Imagine Peace Tower. They started to dance and became very intense in colour.

Tonight was a night to remember! As soon as we left the harbour we could see the northern lights that soon covered the entire sky. We saw green, purple and even red - and were even treated to an amazing corona that formed directly above us!
