CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out with the air feeling crisp and sunny skies this morning. After some searching around we found a spot with hundreds of birds sitting on the water. We took this as a good sign and stuck around a bit, hoping to see something pop up from beneath the surface of the water. After some minutes, our wait was rewarded with a humpback whale! This individual took only a few breaths before diving each time, but this did allow us to get a nice good look at the fluke a couple of times! Eventually though, we moved onwards. Not too long after we found a pair of humpback whales, swimming side by side! They spent a lot of time at the surface so we got many good looks at these amazing creatures. One individual even did a bit of a roll so we got to see half of the fluke, sticking through the surface of the water! Eventually, we headed back into port with a coffee keeping us warm and the sun shining on our faces.

Report from Eldey: We sailed out in this beautiful cold afternoon to the bay searching for wildlife. We sailed for about 45 minutes before we started seeing some boats around a big blow! We got closer carefully and to our surprise we actually saw 2 different humpback whales in the area. We stayed for a few minutes and watched them fluke! While we waited for them to return to the surface we noticed a third blow a bit further away. Eventually we decided to continue our journey but just a few minutes later we spotted a 4th blow of another humpback whale! We saw the whale returning to the surface a couple of times before we got to see one last fluke dive! We ten decided to continue our journey and later spotted a small pod of about 8-10 white beaked dolphins! We stayed with them for a while but it was time to return to the harbour so we happily said goodbye and continued with our journey.
