Tour at 13:00
The weather was still really good and the sun even started shining :) We stopped at the puffin island on our way out on the bay and then we headed further out. First we saw several Harbour porpoises and also a Minke whale. This Minke was a very nice sighting for us, because we recognized it from last year! :) In the end of the tour we even spotted a nice group of White beaked dolphins. They were really great! They approached us and were playing in the waves behind the boat, swam in front of and under the boat. Nice tour!
Tour at 9:00
The weather conditions were really nice today, calm sea and rather warm. We headed out on Faxaflói bay and pretty soon we saw some Harbour porpoises. In the same area we also saw Minke whales. They were surfacing two to three times in a row before they deep dived and we were able to get a good look at them several times. On our way back to the harbour we stopped at the puffin island Akurey and looked at the puffins. There were fewer puffins today than the last couple of days, but maybe they were all out on the bay fishing. Nice tour!
