Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 9:00 and 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress according to weather, as it is usually colder at sea than on land.

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00
  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING 0900

Report from Eldey: Today we sailed out with an amazing sun shining in the sky! As we left the harbour we saw an humpback whale very close to Videy island! It was busy feeding as our ocean was full of food! We soon realized that there were two humpback whales in the same area busy feeding. We then kept sailing and soon encountered the thrird individual of the day! So we had a total of 3 humpback whales today! Just amazing!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Reoprt from Eldey and Hafsulan: This afternoon the sea conditions were way better, we almost saw no white caps created by the waves anymore. Even though it was a bit windy at the beginning, the rest of the tour we could think we were in summertime already! We sailed out and we saw already 2 humpback whales in the distance, both tall blows making a nice contrast with the sunlight. We even saw rainblows! Today it was a rolling day: I've never seen a whale roll at the surface so much, while lunge fed getting loads of foodies. We could have many looks of this whale's full mouth, indicating we were in such a productive area still. They were not together, but both whales were feeding, and we enjoyed them in this sunny and lovely afternoon, feeling nature and sometimes even with the engines off. We could also spot about 3 grey seals, looking at us very curious. We returned to the harbour very satisfied about the great sightings and such a great weather. A good day to go whale watching in February!
