Tour at 13:00
Again we headed out from Keflavík harbour and the sea was a little calmer than this morning. We headed towards the same area where we were earlier this morning and again found lots of feeding birds, especially Gannets. We spotted several Minke whales again, 6-8 individuals approximately, and also several small groups of harbour porpoises around the whole area as well. A great trip again, in spite of the weather!
Tour at 9:00
This morning we sailed from Keflavík harbour because the wind direction creates very bad conditions out on the bay, but we have shelter around Keflavík so the sea is a bit calmer. Still it was a bit bumpy, but we headed out and had a very successful trip in spite of the weather. We came to an area where there were some feeding birds and in the same area there were several Minke whales. Throughout the tour we spotted 8-10 Minke whales, some of which surfaced very close to the boat, so we all had a good look at them :)
